Dr. Abraham Snyder is a Research Professor in the Radiology Department at Washington University. Dr. Snyder’s research focuses on image analysis and includes image registration, artifact suppression, and signal extraction. He has created atlas transformation algorithms for humans of all ages. His atlas transformation module currently is at the front end of FreeSurfer. His multi-modal registration algorithm has been used in PET as well as MRI image analyses. Dr. Snyder has extensive experience creating analysis streams for resting state fMRI using seed-based correlation (resting state functional connectivity; fcMRI). He has recently co-developed strategies for suppression of head motion-related artifacts in fcMRI.
