The Neuroimaging Informatics and Analysis Center is pleased to welcome James R. Booth, Ph.D., Professor at Northwestern University, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders/Learning Disabilities, to the 2012-13 NIL-NIAC Seminar Series. Dr. Booth is the Jo Ann G. and Peter F. Dolle Professor of Learning Disabilities at Northwestern University, where he also serves as the Director for Graduate Studies in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The overall goal of his research is to understand the mechanisms of brain development using advanced neuroimaging techniques. Dr. Booth is currently funded by three grants from the National Institutes of Health. The goals of these grants are not only to chart brain mechanisms of typical development, but also to understand developmental disorders such as language and reading impairments, math disability and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
