Dr. Daniel Marcus, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine. He is the director of the combined Neuroinformatics Research Group (NRG) and the Electronic Radiology Laboratory (ERL). He leads the development of a range of software including imaging informatics and analysis software. The XNAT open source imaging informatics platform is one of the NRG’s primary projects. Dan also directs the Neuroimaging Informatics and Analysis Center (NIAC), a center dedicated to supporting neuroimaging research at Washington University. In this role, he has led the development of cloud-based image computing through the operation of the Central Neuroimaging Data Archive (CNDA) and XNAT Central, which host a range of computationally intensive processing pipelines.
