Dr. Daniel Marcus, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Marcus is the director of the Neuroinformatics Research Group (NRG). He leads a team of 25 engineers, scientists, technical specialists, and study coordinators in the development of a range of software including imaging informatics and analysis software. The XNAT open source imaging informatics platform is one of the NRG’s primary projects. XNAT is used by institutions around the world to manage, analyze, and share imaging and related data. Dr. Marcus is involved in developing and operating databases for clinical trials, institutional repositories, and data sharing initiatives. He directs the Neuroimaging Imaging and Analysis Center (NIAC), a service center dedicated to supporting neuroimaging research at Washington University. His work focuses on informatics, data sharing, and image processing and analysis.
