We are opening up access to the developmental 1.5 version of XNAT. The code has had a limited alpha stage (limited internal testing). But, as of last night at about 11:30pm, it is feature complete.
Unlike previous release cycles where our Beta versions were expected to be fairly stable and even usable in some production sites, this beta version SHOULD NOT be used in production environments. Rather, this early access is an opportunity for the community to review the new features and provide guidance to the XNAT team about bugs, concerns, or flattering praise. This version is not expected to be bug free (I already know of several non-critical bugs).
We have updated http://sandbox.xnat.org to the latest code (a server we used for our RSNA presentation). Feel free to test the application there, or install your own copy from:
