CONDR
The Comprehensive Neuro-Oncology Data Repository (or “CONDR”) is a project to develop advanced imaging biomarkers, and an informatics platform to facilitate neuro research related to these markers.
In clinical practice, knowing how to identify and read key imaging biomarkers would help diagnose the early onset of brain disease from fMRI scans, before a subject becomes symptomatic. These biomarkers would also contribute greatly to the development of treatments for these brain diseases, including but not limited to clinical trials for new drug treatments. Development of these biomarkers is an extremely data-intensive project, and would not be possible without the use of the CNDA.
The current study focuses on participants with brain tumors, comparing clinical information, biopsy pathology results, and MRI imaging for each subject. Responses to therapy are predicted and carefully charted over time.
Upon project conclusion, CONDR will release a de-identified database of MRI images and associated data so that brain tumors can be studies over time (longitudinally) in an organized manner.
