Data Sharing
NRG participates in multiple data-sharing projects, whose goals are to provide anonymized data sets that will be valuable to the larger research community as a test bed for their own work.
The Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS) is a project aimed at making MRI data sets of the brain freely available to the scientific community. By compiling and freely distributing MRI data sets, we hope to facilitate future discoveries in basic and clinical neuroscience.
OASIS is made available by the Washington University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Dr. Randy Buckner at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) at Harvard University, the Neuroinformatics Research Group (NRG) at Washington University School of Medicine, and the Biomedical Informatics Research Network (BIRN).
XNAT Central is a database for sharing neuroimaging and related data with select collaborators or the general community. You can upload images, view them, add demographic and clinical data, and much more. The data are all stored in a searchable, secure web accessible database. Coming in the near future, XNAT Central will also provide image processing and analysis services. XNAT Central is a service of the Neuroinformatics Research Group at Washington University School of Medicine. It is built using the XNAT data management platform.
BrainSCAPE
BrainSCAPE is an open-source data processing tool for managing resting-state fMRI data, supporting your own data or publicly available data sets. BrainSCAPE is built on an XNAT foundation and is a production of the Neuroinformatics Research Group and the Neuroimaging Laboratories at Washington University in St. Louis.
